Axogen is hiring for a Clinical Research (Operations) Intern in Tampa, FL!

Summary Of The Clinical Research (Operations) Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join Axogen’s Clinical Research team in Tampa. The internship will be for a few semesters and start this summer 2024.Knowledgeable mentors will guide a dynamic, professional, hands-on experience. This internship will provide a unique look into the clinical research operations of a leading biomedical technology company with high visibility within the organization. The Clinical Research (Operations) Intern will gain valuable insight into the clinical research processes that are used to bring novel biotechnologies to market.

Requirements Of The Clinical Research (Operations) Internship

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program; preferably in a medical, life science, biomedical engineering, or health science disciplineAbility to work up to 40 hours/week in the summer and a minimum of 20 hours/week during the fall semester and beyond, during normal business hours (8-5pm, Mon-Fri); specific days/hours will be based on student’s class loadPass a drug screeningAble to work out of the Tampa HQ in the summer (can be remote or work out of the Alachua HQ in the fall and beyond)Curiosity and a passion for clinical research are a mustStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are a mustStrong written and oral communication skills are a mustAbility to work cross-functionally with people from multiple departments within the organizationAdvanced PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

Project Details

Under the direction of the program leader, this project will include:

Supporting population of study document information into a new clinical trial systems module Supporting the review of the study documents in the eTMF system, and Participating in the draft and/or review of additional study documents through the end of the internship.

Compensation

The anticipated base wage for this position is $18/hr for an undergrad student and $20/hr for a grad student. In addition to the base hourly rate, there may be a housing stipend available based on location. Interns who are 21 years of age or older are eligible for 401K.

Axogen is on a hybrid work schedule for some of our positions based out of our headquarters in Florida, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. The hybrid work schedule does not include sales or facilities in Ohio or Texas.

Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
