As an intern you will participate in our nationwide Internship & Co-Op Program, LEAP, where you will have the opportunity to Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. In this position, you will be supporting the Ordnance System (OSI) Business at our Kingsport, TN facility. This position will be Hybrid, 50% remote and 50% onsite. Relocation will not be offered, and housing is not provided.

As An Accounting Intern, You Will

Support the Accounting team in everyday Accounting and Compliance processes.Report to the Controller and will work directly with various leaders and specialists.Develop professional skills in Accounting, Finance and Government Compliance in a manufacturing environment in the Defense industry.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Must be at least 18 YEARS OF AGECurrently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldsTwo years or school completed by Spring of '24 of undergraduate studies at an accredited college or universitySolid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Strong written and verbal communication skillsWork efficiently and multi-task under deadlinesAbility to follow directionsAttention to detailSound professional judgement

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Solid knowledge of accounting theory

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $31075 - $41933

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
