Title: Senior Director- East Coast Acquisitions

Primary Responsibilities
Originate, underwrite, negotiate and close real estate equity investments in the Northeast U.S., including development opportunities and existing assets within the commercial office, retail, industrial and multi-family sectors. Experience sourcing and executing niche sector opportunities in self storage, data centers and SFR ventures is a plus.Source and identify new joint venture partners who meet the Company’s criteria, and create relationships which will provide a consistent pipeline of suitable investment opportunities.Source and identify direct investment opportunities which meet a variety of return parameters from core through opportunistic.Present and defend investments to the Investment CommitteeWork with legal counsel to negotiate purchase agreements, partnership agreements and related legal documentationOversee and coordinate the underwriting and due diligence of each transaction including financial modeling; market surveys; tenant credit analysis; broker interviews; interacting with property management personnel, tenants, and local government officials; and ordering, coordinating, and analyzing third-party reports.Provide Company management with information regarding current market conditions, including supply, demand and competitor activity.Collaborate with other members of the investment team to achieve overall regional objectives.Train and develop investment analysts and associates.
Knowledge Requirements
10+ years of commercial real estate investment experience, including 5 years minimum experience in acquisitions.Bachelor’s degree required, with Business or Finance preferred.MBA is strongly preferred.Experience with a variety of real estate asset types.Preferably has specific real estate investment experience with property located in the Eastern U.S.Experience identifying, developing, and structuring joint venture partnerships.Strong network of contacts among owners, developers, brokers, financiers, and others active in Eastern U.S. real estate markets.

Effective negotiator with demonstrated ability to achieve consensus.Sophisticated financial skills and capital markets perspective with ability to structure investments to achieve Company’s investment requirements.Exceptional quantitative underwriting skills.Ability to interact with members of senior management, executives and line staff in a positive and collegial manner.Ability to influence others and win support on critical issues.Must have strong client service focus.Must possess a high standard of professionalism and integrity.Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet tight timelines.Ability to make key recommendations and decisions.Willingness and ability to travel.Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Base Salary: $225,000+
