We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible for contributing to develop, implement, and monitor strategy for bulk transportation categories - Rail-to-Truck transloading facilities, Intermodal tank depots and Intermodal tank drayage. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, preparation and execution of Requests for Quotation (RFQ); contract implementation and monitoring; category management; leadership/contribution of projects; execution of supplier and risk management. You will interact with Business Units, Distribution & Transport Operations, Lead Logistics Providers and Transportation Providers to bring end-to-end transportation solutions that will improve service levels and support growth.

As a Reg. Category Buyer - Bulk Depots, You Create Chemistry By...

Leveraging your education and related experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Transportation and Distribution, by overseeing the procurement of Rail-to-Truck transloading facilities, Intermodal tank depots and Intermodal tank drayage. Supporting Regional Category Manager on strategy development (e.g. strategic goals, strategic options, implementation plans). Preparing and executing RFQ’s in collaboration with Regional Category Manager incorporating business unit requirements, roles for negotiation, list of suppliers and alternatives to be negotiated into agreements. Determining optimal negotiation/award alternatives, award goods/services package to supplier(s) and if RFQ result is within defined boundaries and targets. Managing contracts and determining appropriate actions; informing relevant parties about negotiation results; managing supply issues and data loading into various systems capturing rates, bids, contract boilerplates, etc. Executing Risk Management approach with appropriate actions and executing Supplier Management according to plans developed with Regional Category Manager, managing relationships with key suppliers, evaluating their performance, and driving innovation.

If you...

Hold a Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or other related degree. Have a minimum of 5 years of related experience working on similar positions. Have experience in logistics, supply chain, and procurement. Have advanced skills in MS Excel and Power BI.
