📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Looking for experienced, self- motivated furniture delivery driver with clean DMV record who can drive a 26' Box Truck with excellent customer service skills.
Job Summary
To deliver and assemble all assigned delivery and service orders in accordance with Bassett Furniture operations.
PAY: $19 - 24 per hour
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Load delivery vehicle with all required pieces scheduled to specific delivery routeDeliver all customer orders in a timely and safe mannerAssemble furniture upon delivery to customer’s homeProfessional communication with customers and Bassett Customer Service at the completion of the deliveryAdvise Customer Service of any missing or damaged pieces upon deliveryReport any accidents on the road, or damage to customer’s property immediatelyUnload any undeliverable pieces at the distribution centerAssist in general distribution duties as neededOperate and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any malfunctions immediatelyAbide all speed limits, traffic laws sand safety rules at all times
Required Qualifications
At minimum, must be 21 years of ageValid California driver’s licenseHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to work in non-climate controlled environmentsTwo years DMV/MVR record with two or less moving violationsWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule and at the specific work locationMust be willing to complete a background check and drug screeningSchedule will include working weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
Frequent maneuvering in and out of delivery truckWalking and climbing steps and stairs on a frequent basis while carrying furnitureTwo handed lifting, pushing, handling, and carrying on a frequent basisTwo handed pushing, pulling and lifting of loaded and unloaded furniture in and out of truck cargo areaJob duties and responsibilities may vary by location and additional job duties and responsibilities may be assigned
