Chief Financial Officer

Company Overview: Our client is a $100 million private equity-backed manufacturer located in Waltham, MA that is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join it's executive team. This is a newly created role that will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial direction of our company, supporting our growth objectives, and ensuring financial stability and compliance.

This role offers a salary between $200k - $250k + bonus* + equity* and is hybrid (in office 3 days a week)

Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and long-term vision.Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to drive informed decision-making and optimize resource allocation.Manufacturing Financial Management:Utilize your manufacturing industry experience to streamline financial operations, cost management, and efficiency improvements.Implement best practices in inventory management, cost accounting, and supply chain finance.Private Equity (PE) Relationship Management:Serve as a liaison between the company and private equity stakeholders, providing transparent financial reporting, performance updates, and strategic insights.Collaborate with the PE firm to drive value creation initiatives and support strategic initiatives.Banking and Lender Relationship Management:Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions to secure funding, negotiate terms, and optimize capital structure.Ensure compliance with debt covenants, reporting requirements, and risk management policies.Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support:Leverage previous experience in navigating M&A processes to evaluate potential acquisitions, partnerships, or divestitures.Provide financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration support as needed.Financial Reporting and Compliance:Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and regulatory filings in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Previous experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a manufacturing environment, ideally within a private equity-backed company.Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance in a manufacturing context.Experience with Percent of completion accounting requiredDemonstrated success in managing banking relationships, debt financing, and capital raising activities.Experience navigating M&A transactions, due diligence processes, and post-merger integration.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
