Finance Manager
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join a leading power generation company based in Queens, NYC. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for managing the month-end close process, preparing financial reporting packages, quarterly and annual financial statements, overseeing treasury operations, managing tax filings, assisting with budget preparation, coordinating audits, and handling ad-hoc reporting.Responsibilities:Manage the month-end close process.Prepare monthly financial reporting packages.Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.Oversee treasury operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Prepare and file monthly sales & use tax returns, as well as quarterly excise tax returns.Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.Manage the annual audit process with third-party auditors.Coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with third-party tax preparers.Assist with miscellaneous filings and ad-hoc reporting.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's degree preferred).6+ years of experience in accounting and finance.CPA certification preferred.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.A self-motivator and leader with intellectual curiosity, eager to learn and grow independently.Perks and Advancement Opportunities:Full coverage health insurance for individuals and families.Opportunities for advancement and promotion from within the company.
