Production/Manufacturing Manager

Production ManagerRhode IslandProduction ManagerThis role involves planning, organizing, and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products. The production manager is also responsible for implementing and monitoring production schedules, managing production staff, identifying and resolving production problems, and maintaining and improving production processes. Additionally, the production manager is often involved in setting production goals, controlling production costs, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are met. This position helps enhance the efficiency of business processes, the smooth flow of operations, and overall communication effectiveness for the team.· Monitor inventory levels, assess supply vendors, and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.· Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition, and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.· Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects, assign materials and Crew Members to reduce cost, boost productivity and prevent delays that can affect delivery.· Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations.· Monitor project delivery timelines, check work quality against company requirements and specifications.· Collaborate with sales and production for updates on delivery timelines.· Compile, record and report project data and progress to management and key stakeholders.The following skills are required:· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Teamwork skills· Attention to detail· Math and analytical ability· Proficiency in spreadsheet software, inventory management tools and accounting applications, such as QuickBooks· Excellent time management skills· Microsoft Office…..Excel, Word· Highly Organized Job Type: Full-time· Salary Base with yearly bonus opportunity Benefits:· Health insurance· Paid time off Schedule:· 8 hour shift; Monday to Friday Experience:· Manufacturing experience preferred· Professional experience preferred· Training included Work Location: North Kingstown, RI
