Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production and housekeeping tasks.

Essential Functions

Ability to effectively communicate with all personnelAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructions relating to the operationAbility to operate a variety of equipment such as simple hand tools and hand-powered hydraulic material handling devices

Tasks And Responsibilities

Organize and maintain finished goods storage in the finished goods coolerOrganize and maintain packaging material storage in the dry warehouseOrganize and maintain tomes and animal feedCycle count inventory of packaging material in the dry warehouseTransfer finished goods product from production and scan product into SAPPull product, shrink wrap, and load onto trailers for shipmentCoordinate and provide for the storage and internal distribution of packaging suppliesUnload, inspect, and document receipt of incoming packaging materialDistribute packaging materials to production departments as neededProvide information and answer questions relating to packaging material storageCoordinate and administer distribution of UPS shipments, inspect, record, and verify distribution of all packagesMaintain the warehouse quality control program coordinating activities with the quality control function by working closely with the quality departmentMaintain reports as needed Verify partial pallet countsMaintain a clean work environmentFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policyFollow all safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring the safety of othersFollow all food safety proceduresFollow all environmental protocols as applicableFollow all sanitation procedures and work instructionsPerform other miscellaneous duties as assigned As needed, Bel Brands will provide specific training in order for employees to safely perform the tasks and responsibilities of the job.

Minimum Qualification And Experience

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing tasks and responsibilities of the job.

The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts in wet humid conditions, varying temperatures, and in proximity to cleaning chemicals, fumes, and air-born particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and sources of vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Protective Equipment: Employees must wear personal protective equipment, as required, which could include an assigned work uniform, hair and beard net, safety glasses, designated shoes, and ear protection.
