📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Director of Sales: Colorado Role Summary The Sales Director is responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts. They are responsible for motivating sales team members, designing strategic sales plans and assessing costs and competition. The Sales Director will develop an intimate business relationship with key accounts in the market, develop a sale promotion strategy, and work with marketing to execute a sell in and sell through strategy. Key Responsibilities · Lead and motivate staff to improve customer service with customers · Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets · Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty · Develop and promote weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives · Draft detailed and accurate sales reports · Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals · Assess costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices · Run regular routes with Sales Representatives to improve selling skills and stay up to date on market conditions · Estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products · Establish a sales training program to train new employees · Meet with sales executives to assess company performance · Hold Sales Representatives accountable for proper execution of company CRM system · Work with supply chain to develop an accurate sales forecast · Work with marketing to develop an effect sell through strategy · Work with finance on A/R, T&E, and financial controls · Work with legal and compliance to maintain a high degree of regulatory compliance · Work with business intelligence to analyze market trends and develop an effect pricing and execution strategy · Partner with operations to form a cohesive market winning team · Partner with Director of Operations to meet revenue, margin, and net income targets Supervisory Responsibilities · Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff · Oversees the daily workflow of the sales department · Provide monthly sales and production forecasts · Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations for sales team members · Manage CRM Physical Demands · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer · Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Travel Required · Local travel throughout the market is required. Extended period of driving will be required. · Travel to additional operating states is required as necessary. All trips must be pre-approved by managers.
