Director of Quality Management

The ideal candidate for this position will excel in communication, analysis, documentation, reporting, efficiently manage correspondence, and provide timely progress updates to the Chief Operating Officer. They monitor project managers to see that to support performing quality work, documenting quality control processes, and mitigating project risks. They will also support training of our technical employees for continuous improvement.

Location

This role could be based in one of our many offices or be remote, depending on the selected candidate. Periodic travel to office locations may be required.

The Impact You Will Have

Establishes, monitors and reports on project quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across division and project teams to ensure proper documentation, continuous improvement, and monitor project risk mitigation. Analyzes KPIs; evaluates trends and provides improvement strategies. Shares lessons learned throughout the company to continuously improve and reduce repetitive rework.Promotes the importance of sound project management, performing quality work, and project risk management throughout the organization in alignment with company regional, and divisional strategies.Supports creation and monitoring of project quality management plans (PQMPs), creation of project risk registers, and quality control processes.Routinely audits projects for quality control documentation.Provides feedback to managers on management of scope, schedule, and budget with respect to maintaining quality and mitigating risk; adequacy of, and opportunities to improve quality control processes.Supports or leads project risk mitigation strategies, drawing on expertise of Technical Managers and other experts.Supports Learning and Development efforts by providing feedback and training for best practices, sharing lessons learned.

What You Will Need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering program or equivalent, related field experience.Professional Engineering license.Minimum 20 years of experience in the engineering profession, with a minimum of 10 years in professional consulting.Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
