Senior Underwriter

Job Title: Senior Underwriter Location: Onsite Downtown Miami (moving locations to Blue Lagoon later this year) Salary: $90K-$120K Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:This position independently analyzes and underwrites credit requests for prospects and customers for Lines of Credit and Term LoansAbility to review and analyze Financial Statements and Tax Returns.Review all aspects of 3rdParty Credit reports on both the Business and the Guarantor, including Lexis Nexis, Equifax, Experian, Paynet and Clear.Applies underwriting guidelines and standards within credit authority.Ability to make decisions on files with minimal supervision.Perform detailed risk analysis, making decisions based on your findings.Verify gathered business documents during the underwriting processes such as financial, identification, or formation documentation.In-depth understanding of bank statements, seasonality, and industry trends.Prepare and/or review the completion of credit approval memorandums. Must have strong written and oral skills.Ability to prevent and detect fraudulent applications.Assure that the loan package complies with credit, underwriting standards.Must be able to think independently and provide creative financing solutions.

Requirements:Small Business Lending experience required with credit authority preferredBS degree, concentration in Business, Finance, or EconomicsFive years’ experience in Small Business Lending; SBA, Factoring or Alternative lending experience requiredIn-depth knowledge of financial statements & tax returnsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperior attention to detail and accuracyStrong phone and email communication skillsExperience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentProven ability to consistently meet deadlinesAbility to interact professionally with management, sales, and merchantsSouth Florida candidates only
