📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
BGE Inc is looking for a Transportation Engineer / Roadway Engineer (EIT or PE) within the Transportation Services Department based in Central Texas Region -- to work in our San Antonio office (San Pedro Ave).Responsibilities:Performs engineering associated with highway / roadway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables.Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil engineeringOpen to range of experience from those who recently Passed FE exam (registered EIT) up to recently passed PE exam (Registered PE) in TexasTxDOT ExperienceKnowledge of PS&E Processes1-5 years of professional experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skillsExperience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling softwareABOUT USBGE, Inc. is a nationwide and diversified consulting firm with over 1200+ employees across 25+ offices, committed to the success of our Employees, Clients and Communities.
