📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Big Sandy Area Community Action Program is looking for a Media & Communications Coordinator to join our team.
Position Summary: The Media & Communications Coordinator is primarily responsible for creating a variety of written works to effectively communicate the Agency message and goals.
Responsibilities· Developing public relations materials including press releases, photographs, social media/Agency website material, and advertisements to enhance agency representation.· Sourcing client success stories for quarterly newsletters and annual reports · Compiling and distributing Board Member communication· Writing and editing grant proposals and maintaining documentation as needed· Representing the Agency in community and other professional organizations · Developing and maintaining up-to-date statistical and community data for future planning of programs
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field · Two or more years of experience in marketing, publishing, or fundraising· Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Ability to develop successful grant proposals· Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile· Hire subject to agency policy on required background checks and drug screening.
