Mobile Developer

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Mobile Developer to join our growing team to develop, support, and modernize mission-critical applications for our customer. The successful candidate will help to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical applications. You will analyze, design, develop, debug, support and test native Android mobile applications using Java, Kotlin, Android SDK. You will also provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define system scope and objectives, as well as contributing to design decisions.

What You Will Do

Design and implement new aesthetics layout, look and feel, menu and drop-down options with colors and fonts of web based application Ensuring all interactions are intuitive and easy for customersMake design decision, selection of component libraries and color palette.Break down large tasks and coach junior mobile developers on completing the task.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect web applications to back-end servicesManipulate data, filter, sort and display according to requirementsReview merge requests and ensure adherence to best coding practices and other language idiomsConduct testing of completed web applications to assess user experienceAnalyze customer responses and collect user feedbacks to distill into concrete improvements.

What You Need To Have

Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experienceExperience with Java programming languagesDevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, MavenJava Web Services / Spring Boot / Java EEWeb Development / UI Frameworks / HTML / JavaScriptRelational Database experience (RDBMS)Oracle DB / PostgreSQL DB / MySQLExperience in Docker, AWS Admin RedHat/OpenShift v4.xExperience in Agile development methodologyBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and 5+ years of professional development experience on Android platformProficient in Kotlin, Java, ReactiveX, Spring or other frameworksProficiency with mobile persistence libraries like RoomExperience with RESTful APIs, FirebaseFamiliar with mobile UI/UX design principles and guidelines
