📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Biote Medical is the world leader in hormone optimization and we are adding to our team! We partner with providers to take a complete approach to healthier aging through patient-specific bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and the only nutraceutical line created specifically to support hormone health. We are currently looking for a Power BI Developer to join our team, based out of our Irving, TX HQ.
Summary
The Power BI Developer is responsible for developing data pipelines and reports that connect multiple API’s to provide insightful, actionable data. They work closely with Product Owners to convert business needs into technical solutions, ensuring the optimization and maintenance of existing Power BI assets. Additionally, they collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration of Power BI solutions, maintain data accuracy and integrity, and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Power BI and data visualization technologies.
As the Power BI Developer, you will
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI report and Semantic Models. Managing the Data Pipelines maintained in Azure Synapse, Databricks to ensure the data set is properly ingested into the data warehouse. Build and maintain Azure CI/CD Data pipelines. Power BI User Account Management and Dashboard access. In-depth knowledge of Power BI features, including but not limited to; DAX, PowerQuery, Model Management, Power BI Service and Administration, Dynamic Security. Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Power BI solutions into the existing infrastructure. Contribute to data engineering tasks throughout the ETL process (Data extraction, transformation, and loading). Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and data visualization tools. Maintaining the data dictionary to describe the contents, format and structure, and relationships between elements. Other duties as assigned.
As the Power BI Developer, your background should include
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field5+ years of experience in Power BI development and dashboard creation and data visualization. Understanding data modeling, data schemas (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.) Experience in Data Engineering or SQL Database Management. Microsoft PowerApps Experience. Strong Understanding of API Integration. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Basic Knowledge in Machine Learning, Applied Stats •Experience with at least one of the following data programming languages: Python, R, PySpark. Microsoft Power BI Certification preferred. Familiarity with JIRA or Azure Dev Ops.
