Job Summary

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will accurately maintain, track, and report physical inventory. You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers to ensure accuracy of physical inventory and fiscal accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all inventory functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damageUse Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data to ensure efficient and proper inventory controlResearch and identify quality control issues to minimize recurrence and ensure regulatory complianceIdentify opportunities for improvement of all inventory functions and programsCheck condition of pallets and exchange where necessaryPromptly report damage and all inventory discrepanciesMaintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areasEnsure pallets are wrapped and stacked for safe transport to storageSafely operate appropriate Material Handling Equipment after trainingMaintain all food safety, housekeeping and other applicable standardsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education - High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferredWarehouse experience preferredExperience operating Material Handling Equipment preferredKnowledge of Warehouse Management Systems preferredAbility to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment (MHE)basic math to ensure proper counts and verify pallet ID numbersAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to operate various technology including computers and tabletsAbility to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends and holidays

Environmental Job Conditions

Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environmentGrasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basisAbility to build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 poundsEndurance for continuous, fast paced workFluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, forklift, reach truck, etc.)

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $18.50.
