Role DescriptionA Project Architect’s main duty is to assure design consistency throughout all projects, deliver consistent processes, and lead designers into becoming more efficient and proficient with their job duties. Project Architects lead design board reviews with or without the principal architects, for the purpose of continuity and consistency of design.
Requirements Have a minimum of 10 years experience in Commercial and Residential projectsExcellence in communication skills for multidisciplinary coordinationBe able to attend a full time position in-office in San Jose, and currently be living in the United StatesHave a drivers license and a vehicle
Job DutiesProvide redline corrections for designer setsProvide assistance in answering more complex jurisdictional questions, including directly contacting the jurisdictions as needed on behalf of the Architect of RecordGuide and help with increasing staff Revit efficiency and keep projects on trackProvide design sketches to staff to help troubleshoot and problem solve design detailsSeek out new ways the firm can improve efficiency and reduce Project hours without compromising quality.Seek out ways to improve deliverables and increase client satisfactionLead the weekly Design Charrettes when a Principal is absentProvide Principals with informal reports on project status, problems, and solutions
Bonus Be a master at Revit for maintaining the Blaine Architects template, and for developing parametric families
