HI,Title: Business AnalystLocation: Baltimore, MDDuration: Full TimeClient: SHA MDOTResponsibilities and TasksThe selected business analysts will perform the following responsibilities and tasks:• Assist the business area with the preparation and submission of an Information Technology Project Requests (ITPR) (Part 1 and if needed Part 2) through Office of Information Technology (OIT)’s portfolio management software.• Coordinate with appropriate MDOT SHA OIT groups (e.g., the architectural review board and level of effort committee) to establish project platform and size.• Present the ITPR and its score to the MDOT SHA Information Technology Steering Committee (ITSC) if needed.• Develop project feasibility and cost benefit analysis reports.• Work with the assigned Project Manager to transition a project, once approved, from concept request through preliminary planning to become a chartered project.• Participate on project teams for new systems, to assist project team(s) in areas that include but not limited to: Requirements identification, development, elicitation and management. Scope definition; translating business needs into understandable requirements. As-is and To-be business processes. Modeling techniques (e.g., use cases, workflow, swim lanes, context diagrams). Project documentation like Functional Requirements Document (FRD). System testing including development of test plans, test cases, and requirements traceability matrices. System documentation and training materials. Training sessions. Artifacts development in compliance with the State SDLC.
