📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Blue Cross of Idaho has an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Economics Analyst. This individual will use advanced statistical and computational methodologies to deliver insights and identify strategic opportunities to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. Analyzes large data sets from various sources to evaluate trends and create models.
We Are Looking For a Candidate With
Experience: 2 years’ data analysis experience in any of the following areas: Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Accounting
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Examine and identify data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making.Perform analytic research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations.Research and apply knowledge of existing and emerging statistical and data science principles, theories, and techniques.Explain analysis to technical and non-technical audiences of both internal and external customers, including senior leadership and physicians.Make proficient use of spreadsheets (Excel), programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc.), and other relevant software to capture and manipulate data and complete modeling tasks.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
