Job Information
The Digital Solution Manager plays a critical role in supporting the governance and lifecycle management of the solutions portfolio within the SAMPS (Sales and Aftermarket Product Support) area. This role involves enabling informed decisions regarding the portfolio, aligning digital solutions with strategic objectives, ensuring efficient execution, and maintaining collaboration with stakeholders.
Role & Responsibility
Provide insights and recommendations to enable informed decisions about the solutions portfolio based on applications and projects within the SAMPS domainCreate and implement a comprehensive portfolio management framework, including tools and methods, to effectively manage the portfolio's componentsAlign the SAMPS solutions roadmap with the strategic objectives of the Bobcat Organization, ensuring that the portfolio contributes to the organization's forward-looking plansDrive and closely monitor the progress in executing the solution portfolio roadmap, ensuring that projects and initiatives are on trackReview, manage, and appoint the lifecycle status of solutions within the portfolio, including decisions on enhancements and new developmentsPrioritize strategic business requirements for the solution portfolio, harmonizing solutions to drive process reusability across global and regional needsApprove solution runtime budgets within the portfolio and support the SAMPS Director in managing the budget for IT and business costs related to the portfolioSecure collaboration with vendors and external suppliers for solution delivery, ensuring the successful implementation of projectsCollaborate with product managers and Solution leaders to determine whether requirements should be handled as enhancements or as new development initiativesApprove release plans for solutions in line with business priorities, ensuring that they align with the overall portfolio strategyChair the Solution Portfolio forum, fostering collaboration among identified stakeholders and preparing necessary decisions related to the solution portfolioApprove solution run-time budgets within the portfolioApprove assignment agreements/SLAs within the portfolioPrioritize requirements when they fall outside the allocated budget frame, keeping solution strategic roadmap in mindNo authorities to approve projects (New Development) independently. Will be consulted in conjunction with business for potential runtime impacts and support capability needs
Functional Competency
Possess a deep understanding of solution portfolios and related processes, with a track record of successful portfolio managementHave a good understanding of process and solution dependencies and interfaces, allowing for effective decision-makingDemonstrate a deep understanding of both business and digital processes, bridging the gap between technical and business requirementsBe an excellent collaborator, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersExisting knowledge of Bobcat solutions is a plus
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology or a related fieldSeveral years of experience in solution portfolio management or a similar roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesProven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
