📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Labor & Employment AttorneyBochner PLLC, a growing mid-sized law firm located in New York City, Tampa and with a national presence, provides sophisticated counsel and representation to a wide range of clients in multiple practice areas. We are seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney in New York for our growing practice group. The ideal candidate has between 3-5 years of employment experience and is a dynamic self-starter who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with clients and take significant responsibility for their matters while being mentored by a leading group of experienced professionals.ResponsibilitiesAdvising clients on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, contractual disputes, and wage and hour compliance;Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, consulting agreements, and separation agreements, and advising clients in connection with employee hiring, discipline and termination;Drafting employee handbooks and related policies;Drafting and enforcing restrictive covenant agreements;Monitoring and reviewing changes and developments in employment law;Conducting research, preparing legal memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and related documents in litigation and/or arbitration;Assisting in collective bargaining and handling traditional labor law matters;
Qualifications:JD degree from an ABA accredited law schoolNYS Bar Admission; New Jersey or Connecticut Admission is a plus,Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team membersStrong analytical and interpersonal skills
