The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) group is looking for an Experienced Quality Systems Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

This position will support the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) group. The role will require coordination with MATES and various business units across the Boeing enterprise to provide quality support. The successful candidate will join a geographically disperse and multidisciplinary MATES team that is responsible for calibration and certification support of advanced manufacturing, satellite production, and test & evaluation activities. MATES provide a full spectrum of test asset and metrology services and support for internal customers and products through all phases of the product lifecycle. MATES is comprised of engineers, technicians and administrative personnel who support programs, sites, business units and external/government customers by providing best value test asset management and metrology services through all phases of the product lifecycle.

This position will require up to 25% travel.

Demonstration of Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) elements, internal and external compliance and audit inquiriesRoot Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and leadershipMATES leadership integration for qualityActing as Subject Matter Expert for AS9100D, MATES Quality Program, and MATES alignment with other Boeing Business Units Quality PlansAssessment of risk across MATES processes, and development and deployment of quality and improvement plansMATES Self Assessment process, including risk assessmentMATES Cost of Poor Quality process

Position Responsibilities

Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program developmentPrepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployedAnalyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problemsParticipates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementationConducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capabilityConducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approvalConducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to managementAnalyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipmentWorks under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Associate’s degree or higher3+ years of experience in Quality, Metrology, and/or Quality Management SystemsExperience with Microsoft office suiteAble to travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5+ years of experience in quality, lab test and/or metrologyExperience AS9100D Quality Management SystemExperience in ISO/IEC 17025 StandardBachelor’s degree or higher

Typical Education/Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range experienced level: $86,700 – $117,300
