Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First Line Packaging Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our Outbound & Packaging Team within Transportation, Warehousing, and Logistics (TWL) in St. Louis, Missouri or Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. This team supports both Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS).

This position will support BDS & BGS Packaging activities at multiple sites across the country (occasional travel is required). Compliance and technical experience are important in this role. You will be maintaining packaging engineering, leading compliance oversight, while driving efficiencies and improvements. You will also be building relationships with packaging service providers.

You will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. The role requires a of blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes, standard work and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain. A successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams, understand the strategic aspect of the organization and associated initiatives, work in a complex organization, and can demonstrate their knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers’ expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable by the team.

Position Responsibilities

Manages and integrates employee activities across program responsibility within BDS & BGS PackagingExecutes organizational plans, policies and proceduresGuides in the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives with respect to packaging supplier performanceDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with internal manufacturing customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports and logistics partnersProvides oversight to the development of technical solutions, products and processesDevelops, guides performance, and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience leading teams or projects3+ years of experience reading engineering drawings and specifications3+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range St. Louis, Missouri: $122,400 - $149,600

Summary pay range Ridley Park, Pennsylvania: $131,400 - $160,600
