Boeing is seeking a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineers to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is an exciting opportunity of hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition engineering supporting Boeing’s strategic bomber, surveillance, and tanker aircraft programs.

The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, have excellent communication skills, leadership, interpersonal, organizational skills, and be detail oriented.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Flight Test Instrumentation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

Design Test Instrumentation Systems and Software Architecture to achieve test requirementsIdentifies required products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes / technologies to achieve a successful testDesigns, develops, and documents instrumentation systemsGenerates electrical and mechanical schematics using commercial drawing tools and other common design softwareCoordinates, on aircraft or in lab, system design, fabrication, integration, modification, setup, checkout, and teardownInterprets test requirements and determines test instrumentation methodologyIntegrates test hardware, software, and systems to fulfill all test requirementsTroubleshoots and resolves instrumentation system, transducer, and test-related problemsAnalyzes, reviews, and validates test data to ensure test instrumentation hardware readinessConducts research in test instrumentation technologies to improve test efficiency and capabilityWorks with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutionsPerforms functions as required to ensure instrumentation system readiness and data validitySelf-starter that works under different levels of supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry1+ years of experience with instrumentation design and/or instrumentation operations and maintenanceAble to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's Degree or higher Engineering DegreeExperience planning and implementing instrumentation activities for test programsExperience with data acquisition system attributes (e.g. range, accuracy, frequency responses, accuracy) to define characteristics of measurements to be recordedExperience planning and implementing instrumentation activities for test programsExperience directly supporting flight/lab test operationsExperience with precision test, measurement devices, and sensor selection

Typical Education/Experience

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for associate level: $73,950 – $100,050

Summary pay range for mid-level: $88,400 – $119,600

Summary pay range senior level: $106,250 – $143,750
