The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to join the team in Bellevue, WA; Bothell, WA; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Renton, WA; Seattle, WA; or Tukwila, WA.

The Software Developer will be hands-on with several electrical domain applications that are used to design, manage, manufacture and support airplane electrical systems. The Software Developer will become the owner of several critical applications after having become familiar with the detailed operation, implementation, infrastructure, technology stack, interfaces and administration details. The Software Developer will work daily with users, business owners, technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and leadership for problem resolution, optimization and enhancement opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

Leads and performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs in Electrical Engineering SystemsLeads analysis of end user processes to define application requirementsWrites and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applicationsModifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance in Electrical DomainIdentifies and recommends improvementsIdentifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience with Computing and Programming language like C#, C++, C, COBOL (read only), Visual Basic for Applications (MS-Access)Experience with Project Management Tools like Team Foundation Server, Quality CenterExperience with Relational Databases such as SQL-Server, Oracle, TeradataExperience with Configuration Control Tools such as GIT, Visual Source Safe, Clear CaseExperience using Windows, LINUX/UNIX Operating SystemsExperience with Documentation Tools such as Microsoft tools such as Word, Visio, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

A Bachelor's of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degreeExperience with Development Operations (DevOps)/Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) and Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) practices, methodologies and toolingExperience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Team Foundation Server (TFS), GitLab, ClearCase, GIT, IIS, Windows Server

Typical Education & Experience

Typically, 5 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Work Shift

This position will be for first shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $100,300 - $135,700
