Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist to join the Smithfield Maritimes Project Management Office in Smithfield, PA.

Join our dedicated and highly-motivated team focused on developing and delivering cutting edge capabilities to our customers. You will be leading projects comprised of production managers, engineers, and other functional teammates, and interacting and with our customers and internal leadership.

This role includes managing functional team resources to execute projects for internal and external customers producing harnesses, electronic boxes, racks, systems, spares, and repairs. Responsibilities also include tracking, managing, and reporting status, scheduling, financials, staffing, proposals, and business unit management.

Position Responsibilities

Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards.Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests. Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case. Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry.Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

10+ years’ experience in a role requiring project/program management skills5+ years’ experience in cost account or earned value managementKnowledge of and experience with Program Management Best PracticesStrong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification5 + years’ experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment5 + years’ experience leading, developing, facilitating or executing operating rhythms, analysis of costs, schedules, project plans, and/or metrics with cross functional teamsExperience leading or developing bids and proposals to include Basis of Estimates and Risk AssessmentExperience with execution of program planning to include updating, analyzing or interpreting Integrated Master SchedulesProven ability to bring key stakeholders together to rapidly and collaboratively achieve consensus on priorities and path forward to work tasks and projectsExperience with developing and delivering presentations to Senior Leaders

Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Travel

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: USD $132,600 – $179,400
