📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Boyd Richards is a civil defense firm with more than 50 lawyers and multiple offices across Florida and New York. We provide a wide range of legal services to our clients, including personal injury, civil, and commercial litigation defense.
We are looking for an experienced litigation paralegal with 3 to 5 years of civil defense experience to join our large and growing paralegal department. The position is for our downtown Miami offices. This position is hybrid, with three days a week of remote work. We offer a very competitive salary and benefits.
The litigation paralegal will work closely with and support our attorneys in handling litigated files in various areas of the law from pre-suit stages through trial. ResponsibilitiesPrepare all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requestsPrepare medical and billing chronologies in personal injury cases Draft and prepare required subpoenas and follow up on obtaining records Prepare binders including binders for depositions, mediations, hearing, and trial Handle all aspects of expert discovery Prepare trial disclosures Gather and investigate relevant information for the cases from a variety of sourcesOther tasks as requested by the attorneys
This job requires that you come into our downtown Miami offices twice a week. Local applicants only.
