Position Summary - We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nursing director to lead our team of nurses and clinical staff in providing quality care to patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our 4-6 week residential program, across multiple sites in Otsego, Shakopee, Chaska, and Eden Prairie ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing staff schedules and performance, coordinating with other departments and external partners, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities -Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of nursing and clinical staff, providing feedback, coaching, training, and disciplinary actions as neededEnsure that staff adhere to ethical and professional standards of care, as well as state and federal regulations and accreditation requirementsMonitor and maintain adequate staffing levels, supplies, equipment, and medication inventory for the programCollaborate with the medical director, program director, therapists, case managers, and other staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patientsCoordinate with external agencies and providers to facilitate referrals, admissions, transfers, discharges, and follow-up services for patientsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, surveys, and accreditation processesDevelop and update policies and procedures to ensure best practices in dual diagnosis treatment and recoveryProvide direct patient care as needed, including conducting assessments, administering medications, providing education, and responding to emergenciesMaintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and reportsRepresent the program in internal and external meetings and committees

Ideal Candidate - Valid RN license in the state of employmentBachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferredGood years of experience in psychiatric or substance abuse nursingEnough years of experience in a supervisory or managerial roleCertification in psychiatric or substance abuse nursing preferredKnowledge of dual diagnosis treatment and recovery principles and practicesKnowledge of state and federal regulations and accreditation standardsProficiency in electronic health records systemsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAbility to handle stress, conflict, and crisis situationsCommitment to respect, diversity, and inclusionCurrent TB/Mantoux screening
