Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionResponsibilities Include:Manage departmental performance measures, develop KPI’s (key performance indicators) and provide regular progress reportsProvide associate supervision, coaching, development and accountabilityDevelop strategies to improve team performance and reduce downtimeApply policies related to job performance, company values and safetyEnsure effective employee relations, creating and influencing a fun, yet highly efficient work environmentAssist in associate hiring, onboarding and retentionChampion lean initiatives and continuous improvement effortsDirect and enhance site ISO 9001 quality standardsSupport the operations team in the development and execution of manufacturing strategiesOther duties and projects as needed Candidates Should Possess the Following:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferredHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent requiredCut and sew manufacturing industry experience highly preferredPrevious successful manufacturing or production leadership experienceManagerial skills relating to the ability to lead cross-functional teamsOpen and effective communicator and collaborator with all levels of the organization, including verbal and written, including being a team player and having a professional interface with others, getting results through collaborationStrong interpersonal skills, including coaching, mentoring and employee relationsHighly skilled in Microsoft applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn new software programs and systemsActive leadership experience in lean initiatives, six-sigma programs and kaizen activities is very helpfulFamiliar with ISO standardsStrong sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence, including meeting deadlines and able to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and dataAbility to follow and lead safety standards and standard work
