Here’s What You’d Do

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for managing Estimator – Trainees, Staff Estimators and Project Estimators to ensure that multiple large and complex landscape, irrigation and site-work proposals are executed successfully and according to Company guidelines.

You’d Be Responsible For

Generating complete bid estimates on multi-discipline projectsPartnering with owners, architects and general contractors to resolveTechnical matters that may arise during the bidding processDirecting bid day activities, sub solicitations and be knowledgeable about MBE/WBE/DBESupervising, developing, training and mentoring staff assigned to the projectCommunicating with Chief Estimator and Manager of Pre-Construction regarding estimating schedule, labor requirements and any potential issuesReviewing completed bids and budgets with Chief Estimator and Manage of Pre-ConstructionLeading inter-branch estimating teams on special projectsParticipating in productivity studies as neededUtilizing standard estimate computer software to present information to managementDemonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

Minimum of 5 years of construction industry estimating experience forlandscape, irrigation and site-work projectsBachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering,Construction Science, Construction Management or relatedProficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), Heavy Bid (HCSS), OnScreenPossess a basic understanding of construction accounting including budgeted versus actual costsStrong work ethicEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentCustomer service experienceBilingual (Spanish) a plus
