You’d Be Responsible For

Hiring, managing, training and developing employees; managing performance of employees – including conducting performance appraisalsPlanning, scheduling and administering the branch budgetEnsuring that all jobs are completed according to plans, are within budget and according to promised deadlinesDelivering timely and accurate reports, financials, schedules and budgets on a regular basisCoaching, evaluating and training staff and field workers in the performance of landscape construction servicesInspecting all field work; analyzing and resolving problemsManaging labor force & subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on trackMaintaining accurate daily and weekly Foremen and Superintendent activity logs; updating production tracking reports and generating other related reports as neededResponsible for dispatch of labor and equipment to job sitesManaging equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage and maintenanceEnsuring that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications & drawings, are within budget and on scheduleRepresenting the company, interfacing and building relationships with owners, clients, architects, general contractors and subcontractorsManaging tools and equipment delivery, storage, operation and maintenanceEnsuring that entire branch operates safely and efficiently at all timesCommunicating Company goals to management and employeesEnsuring that employees are both results oriented and operating as a teamDemonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting the Company culture, in particular, regarding safety, quality and customer service

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

Minimum 10 years of experience managing field operations/ design–build operations, general construction operationsMinimum 10 years of experience working with a general contractor, or a specialty contractor, with extensive knowledge and experience in labor management and productionMinimum 5 years of experience with large construction equipment management and crane operations and managementSignificant local construction and field experienceMinimum 10 years of experience in field operations/taking plans from the design phase through installation

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have

Experience with Suretrak, Expedition, and J.D. EdwardsBachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or related experienceProficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Strong work ethicEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environmentCustomer service experienceBilingual (Spanish)
