Position Summary: Vice President, President in TrainingOur Association seeks its next leader! As Vice President, you'll engage in succession planning to step into the President's role. Partnering closely with our current President, you'll gain valuable insights and relationships to prepare effectively. This transition period requires a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Association. Understanding our identity, activities, and future direction will prepare you to transition into the President's role.

Essential Job Functions:Leadership Transition: Partner closely with our President to gain invaluable insights into the intricacies of leading our association. Engage in strategic leadership activities and forge meaningful connections with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition into the President's roleAssociation Growth: Explore and implement new strategies to increase the association's participating members.Membership Engagement: Provide unparalleled support to our members, overseeing database management and delivering exceptional customer service to foster strong relationships and enhance member satisfaction.Financial Stewardship: Collaborate with our finance team to oversee budget management and maintain a culture of financial transparency and responsibility.Operational Excellence: Understand the day-to-day operations, from managing facilities and optimizing workflows to overseeing the HR and IT functions, to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness during the transition period.Program and Event Coordination: Work closely with our programs and events teams to strategize and execute impactful programs, services, and events that align with our organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or related field.Proven operations management experience, preferably in a trade association or nonprofit organization.Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.Outstanding communication, leadership, and team collaboration abilities.Proficiency in office software and IT systems.Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and trade associations is a plus.
