📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
SUMMER MENTOR PositionWe are looking for highly motivated people to support our summer internship program by serving as a mentor, supporting our interns to reach their inherent potential.
Position starts June 1 and runs through August 17
Overall Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the intake process, helping interns to set goals and strategies for our program. Participate in all aspects of the training portion of our program, including, administrative duties, as well as curriculum delivery. Support interns 1:1 outside of their internships as well as during our group training sessions.Participate in employer calls with our coaches, as needed.Participate in weekly planned social activities with interns.
Desired Background and Qualifications: You must have your B.A. in the areas of special education, social work, counseling, psychology, or other related fields.Master's candidates are highly desired as well!!!You possess an interest, lived experience, or academic or professional experience with neurodiversityYou have experience or interest in workforce preparation or vocational support.Your possess strong verbal, written and analytical skills and organizational skills You are detail oriented and able to take initiative.To apply please include a resume and cover letter outlining your interest in working with BroadFutures as a mentor and your qualifications for the position and send to Carolyn Jeppsen at cjeppsen@broadfutures.org.
