Senior BI Developer 6-Month Contract to HireRemote or Hybrid in Cleveland, OH**Unable to do C2C or Provide Sponsorship**
Description: Our Fortune 500 Retail Client is seeking a data centric, Senior BI Developer who will be responsible for identifying and delivering innovative enterprise data solutions to meet strategic business needs.
As the Senior Data expert, you will also be translating high-level business needs into detailed requirements while working with solution architects to produce clear and functional technical applications within the MicroStrategy environment. Additionally, you will be a critical member of the Enterprise Data Organization, which is responsible for all key operations and functions of data applications.
Qualifications:Degree in Management information systems/Computer Science or equivalent (MBA is desirable or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years of experience implementing Enterprise Business Systems/Data Applications in large global organizations. Prior implementation and optimization of data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy and/or Business Objects. Proven track record of successfully aligning technology around strategic business goals in large global organizations. Thorough understanding of application development and testing lifecycle Experience performing detailed data analysis including ability to create, run and modify SQL queries Experience with ETL development and processes, creating back-end table designs and usage of data visualization. Experience with User Enablement and/or training business users. Experience with technologies such as Snowflake, Oracle, and Data Warehouses are strong nice to haves. Experience in creating and implementing business processes, as well as the proper documentation. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Responsibilities:Conduct reviews of technical designs validating them against functional designs, identify gaps and ensure best practices are followed in the designs. Conduct code reviews validating them against the technical designs, identify gaps and ensure best practices are followed in the code. Conducts reviews and analysis of business and information technology processes and solicits client requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures. Identifies customer requirements, writes functional designs, reviews technical designs, develops test scripts, reviews testing plans and tracks and documents the development and results of these plans. Evaluates business requirements for enterprise business applications integration and service activation, while delivering new or modified software systems enhancements and/or integrated solutions. Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of system requirements. Alerts project managers to potential risks and issues of importance.
