Brown & Brown is seeking a Property Casualty Claims Leader for our Commercial Lines Team in Roseland, NJ!
What You’ll Do
Establish, direct, and monitor goals and objectives that are in alignment with the department and profit center strategy and in accordance with established policies and procedures.Regularly evaluate and identify short-term and long-term department recruitment needs and strategies to retain top talent.Identify areas of opportunities and develop strategies for improvement within the department.Establish and maintain consistent and efficient procedures. Ensure that systems, procedures, and insurance company regulations are adhered to.Supervise, train, and develop the capabilities of the team in a manner that enhances the profit center’s image and level of service to clients and companies; Regularly evaluate department teammates, in relation to skills, insurance coverage and technology knowledge.Develop and implement a learning program for teammates with a focus on insurance coverage knowledge, carrier products and services, and profit center procedures.Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to provide a benefit to the department, as it relates to optimizing products and services.Responsible for the analysis of loss history and current policy information to identify trends and opportunities to reduce gaps in coverage.Partner with sales and service teams in the completion of stewardship reports by providing applicable loss information, claims analysis, and claims advocacy results. Participate in client meetings.Conduct reserve analysis based on the terms and conditions of the policy to reduce the cost of the claim.Obtain, analyze, and critique adjuster’s notes for complex claims, while evaluating files for settlement and reserve potential.Proactively manage and communicate complex claim status with client, service, and sales teams.Act as a subject matter expert for sales and service teammates with respect to claims progression.Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.Identify potential errors and omissions exposures, implement procedures which will minimize or eliminate same, and provide recommendations to sales and service teams to reduce risks.Analyze loss history and current policy information to identify trends and opportunities to reduce gaps in coverage.Promote and implement carrier loss control recommendations to improve the insureds ability to manage and control risk and help assure insurability.Complete loss runs and summaries periodically for assigned accounts.Review and prepare claim trend and loss analysis to measure opportunities to achieve department objectives.Participate in regular department meetings.Build a network of region-wide peers; collaborate best practices.Responsible for meeting budgeted growth goals and operating margins for the department.Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the office. Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards.Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial line's insurance coverage2 years' service experience in the insurance industry10+ years’ experience in leadership.Property & Casualty License required.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
