Performs the following tasks to assemble hulls, decks and small parts to specifications. Converts fiberglass hulls, decks and small parts, purchased parts and pre-assembled components into a completed boat. Installs decks, hardware components, bilge system, water, hydraulic & fuel fittings, hoses, tanks and connections. Performs electrical assembly of consoles, installs and connects electrical wiring and components. Inspects and tests all systems installed. Uses a variety of hand and power/air tools, saws, grinders and other tools as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operates and maintains hand and power tools and equipment such as overhead craneInstalls basic hardware and componentsInstalls water tanks, hydraulic and fuel fittings and hoses. Installs and connects electrical wiring and componentsPerforms self audits and record keepingPerform housekeeping and maintenance in finishing areaMay be required to perform other duties as needed
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of a variety of hand/power tools including wire strippers, cutters, etc., power tools such as pneumatic drills, screwdrivers and small impact hammers essential. Minimum of 1 year recent Mechanical/Carpentry or heavy assembly experiencePrior blueprint reading experienceAbility to stand, bend, and stoop for 10+ hour shiftsMust wear safety glassesMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs
