Role DescriptionBurgess Steel is seeking structural steel and/or miscellaneous iron detailers. This is a full-time on-site role for a Steel Detailer at Burgess Steel. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and models for structural steel fabrication. Your day-to-day tasks will include interpreting architectural and engineering plans, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring accurate and precise detailing. You will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing accurate instructions to the fabrication team.
QualificationsProficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD. Tekla and SDS2 software a plus.Will be responsible for producing Erection Plans and Shop Detail DrawingsStrong understanding of structural steel components and construction practicesAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering plansExcellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawingsKnowledge of industry standards and codes related to steel fabricationStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project managers and engineersBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in civil or structural engineering is a plusPrior experience as a Steel Detailer or in a similar role is a plus
