Capital Projects Planner Scheduler

Burrow Global is seeking to hire a Capital Projects Planner Scheduler for a long term assignment with a chemical manufacturer in Lake Charles, LA. This position will be 100% onsite at the process facility.

This position will focus on capital project scheduling and planning.

Responsibilities Will Involve

Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.Advanced work packaging along with strong P6 scheduling and reporting.Assess impacts to critical path and near-critical activities, report to project teamPrepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basisAssure credibility of the information contained in the scheduleReview schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the scheduleVerify contractors schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float pathsCreate activity sequences for constructabilityResource load schedules as required by the project teamPerform job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activitiesDevelopment and maintenance of resource loaded schedule, critical path analysis, resolution of scheduling conflicts and monitoring schedule delays, impacts and variances to the baseline.Develop / Manage the (EVM) Earned Value Management progress base and ensure accuracySupport in the maintenance of the WBS and coordination of work packages.Develop work planning with field coordinators and hold regular field progress meetings. Track field progress and manage the progress and productivity measurement systems.Conduct field walk downs with project managers, project leads and field coordinators.Work with site management in driving organizational structure (headcount) based on historical trends and manpower forecasts.Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

Education

High School Diploma, Bachelor’s or Associate degree with a minimum of 5-7 years related experience in petrochemical or refining capital project scheduling and planning, field experience is required.
