Field Capital Project Manager - Norco, LA

Burrow Global is seeking an experienced field project manager for a 12 + month assignment at a chemical manufacturing facility in Norco, LA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone having experience in managing infrastructure, maintenance, and reliability capital projects in a chemical manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be adept at driving a portfolio of engineered and funded projects through the execution phase of the project. Candidates will managing cost, scope, schedule on each of the projects that have been approved. In addition this position will oversee the construction vendors and personnel working on the various projects at the facility.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Assures capital projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by managing the execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standardsEnsures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting and reporting of assigned projectsReview scopes of work and construction packages including documentationResponsible for providing new/revised Process Safety Information to the appropriate departmentsAnalyzes and manages risks on projectsFacilitates safety and constructability reviewsCommunicates and resolves technical and commercial issues as related to project objectivesResponsible for initiating the Management of Change, coordinates with the site PSM (Project Safety Management) representative regarding PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) requirements and participates in PHAs as neededSuccessfully communicates with leadership about the status of each project.Ensures all project documentation is completedExercises direct control of cost and execution of assigned projects

Required Qualifications

5 plus years of experience in project management in a Chemical manufacturing environment.Must be eligible to work in the United States for any company in an ongoing capacity without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

PMP or other certifications in Project ManagementBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent from accredited university or institutionSelf-starter knows how to effectively manage multiple projects and competing prioritiesUnderstands and adheres to all policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to safety, health, environmental and quality assurance emphasizing this perspective in their own work and in the work of othersUses fact based, structured decision-making process to initiate and support appropriate actionsKnows how to effectively exchange information, instructions and ideas within own work group and with other cross-functional groupsHas advanced verbal and written communication skills and can adapt communication style to suit different audiencesTeam player works effectively within a group and understands how to leverage each member's role and responsibilitiesDrives projects to completion by holding self and project team members accountable for project deliverablesUnderstands core work processesStrive to continuously improve and apply personal knowledge and skills to effectively perform roleExperience with API Tank and Pipeline capital projects is a plus.Active TWIC Card
