Building Maintenance Specialist

Overview: The building maintenance team is responsible for grounds maintenance and building upkeep for our Bismarck Location. If you are highly motivated and have previous maintenance experience, read the job description below and apply today!

Responsibilities:Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual facility inspections.Coordinates, monitors, and facilitates contracted professional services for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and special projects.Maintains a building maintenance log of scheduled maintenance services and inspectionsGround maintenance to include: Mowing, trimming, and maintaining lawn, Sprinkler system maintenance and repairSnow removalYard clean-up and sweepingMaintain exterior lightingGeneral yard dutiesBuilding upkeep to include:Obtain quotes and serves as liaison with any contracted servicePaintingMaintain building roof, roof vents, exhaust fans and HVAC systemsMaintain interior lightingMaintain walk thru and overhead doorsMaintain and pump out wash bay pits as neededAssist maintaining some common areas like tools rooms, etc. as needed.Over sees remodeling projects and workstation restructuringAbility to conduct basic mechanical, electrical, carpentry and facility service and repairs.Assists the departments with cleaning/contamination control as neededEventsSets up and tears down for training, meetings, and eventsMaintains a set up and tear down planning worksheet for each event.Works with purchasing agents to evaluate and maintain consistent purchasing practicesWorks within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Requires mechanical knowledge, experience using heavy equipment, basic knowledge of HVAC, heating, and plumbing systems and the software to run it.Computer skills required.Good communication skillsPrevious maintenance experience preferred.This candidate should be a self-starter who can work flexible hours as needed for snow removal, lot sweeping and special projects.The physical requirements of this position include:Shoveling snowClimbing laddersSnow removal equipment operationLifting up to 70 poundsWorking at heights of approximately 50 feet
