The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) at Butler University invites applications for an open faculty position. This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty appointment. This position may become tenure track eligible upon matriculation of first nursing cohort. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications at the time of hiring. Faculty will engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities consistent with the requirements of COPHS faculty with a preferred start date of August 1, 2024.
The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is proposing an expansion of programs to include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The program is a professional bachelor's degree that will seek approval from the Indiana State Board of Nursing and accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The Simulation Lab coordinator position will be responsible for the development, implementation, and integration of simulation activities for nursing students to meet accreditation standards. In addition, this position will oversee the scheduling, maintenance and equipment needs of the nursing simulation lab. This position will also have academic advising and teaching responsibilities in the BSN program based on area of expertise, needs of the simulation and nursing labs, and needs of the program. Faculty are also expected to provide leadership, represent and serve on department committees, collaborate with campus partners and engage in scholarship.
