We are an industry leader in the design, manufacture, support of advanced integrated RF systems for high performance Electronic Warfare, Radar/Communications, flight test and instrumentation systems. Our products are used by US and international customers in manned aircraft, UAVs, space launch vehicles, missiles and guided weapons applications.

Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and being able to adapt to a rapidly changing production environment brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of production goals and achieving operational excellence. Due to the nature of the products we manufacture, this position requires US Citizenship for working on ITAR/EAR programs.

CAES is looking for motivated aspiring engineering interns to work in a highly collaborative, growing electronics product development environment at the Woburn, MA facility. You will work closely with design engineering, test, management, and production teams to support the design, prototype, verification, and manufacturing of complex electronic products and test sets. Disciplines considered for this position include, but are not limited to, electrical engineering, RF engineering, and system engineering. Ideal candidates will have multi-disciplinary capabilities with electronic systems overall.

This is a growth and development position for college students looking to gain experience and skills toward their intended degree. We offer flexible full and part-time work schedule options to accommodate and support student class load requirements.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our dynamic engineering development team, you will work with state-of-the-art RF/Microwave products and equipment. This will involve:

Independently interpret requirements and specifications and conceptualize solutions.With oversight, help develop and write engineering plans and procedures.With oversight, design and engineer product, systems, and sub-systems.With oversight, participate in assigned project tasks on current programs.With oversight, collect test data and write test reports using designated enterprise tools and systems.Independently perform related or supporting engineering work assignments as business needs require.

This is an RF Engineering internship opportunity during the summer of 2024, for a current full-time student seeking a Bachelor’s or Master's degree

CAES is looking for a talented and highly motivated individual with an interest in RF/microwave to assist our engineering team with the design and development of leading-edge products for military and space-based applications.

Minimum Requirements

Currently enrolled student in a relevant and accredited engineering program heading into their Junior or Senior year of studies.Basic understanding and interest in microwave theory.This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export law. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).Ability to obtain or maintain a Security Clearance.Local / regional candidate within reasonable commuting distance. No travel or housing assistance is available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework in RF/Microwave theoryFamiliarity with RF testing tools (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.) Ability to effectively collect, track, and accurately input dataAbility to responsibly operate independently to complete assigned tasksProficient with communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.Working knowledge of structured problem solving and statistical analysis.Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project.Proficiency with software applications and programming languages relevant to candidate’s engineering discipline.Ability to generate presentations and deliver project or task status reports in a group setting.

Salary Range: $24 - $25 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
