Cake is hiring a Platform Engineer to architect our explosive growth. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the continued delivery of high quality software, accelerating platform development velocity, and crafting a user-friendly experience for customers. What you’ll doArchitect and implement solutions to significantly reduce POC and conversion upgrade lead times for integrated componentsDeliver impactful solutions that contribute to measurable improvements in key business metrics like CSAT, NPS, and NDRStreamline deployment process to improve metrics such as lead time to deploy, deploy frequency, and change failure rateOwn the customer-facing developer experience, building intuitive tools and documentation to streamline development effortsChampion best practices for scalability, ensuring the Cake platform can handle explosive growth

Requirements10+ years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineeringProven track record of solving complex software problems at scaleDeep knowledge of platform engineering principles, ideally in Kubernetes and/or TerraformSelf-starter with infectious enthusiasm, an out-of-the-box thinker who sees opportunities and solutionsPrior engineering leadership experience is a plusPrior security or ML experience is a plus
