Elementary School Special Education Teacher (Immediately Hiring)St. Louis, MO 63118- Fully Onsite
Our partner is looking for an enthusiastic educator engaging in students’ innate curiosity. You work to support our exceptional learners through direct intervention through pull out small groups and by pushing in classrooms for co-taught instruction. You fundamentally believe that everyone can succeed and understand that individual tools help students learn. You understand the importance of compliance and how vital an IEP meeting can be for you, your student, and their family. You’re excited to dive in.
On the day-to-day basis, you can look forward to the following:Curriculum Development and InstructionAdapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculumDevelop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessmentsUse data to inform instructional decisionsProvide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom culture:Embody and maintain school’s values, policies, and cultureDevelop positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staffEstablish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progressEffectively supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 studentsShow up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent-teacher conferences and more
