The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is committed to effectively delivering essential Public Health services directly and/or through strong and effective Partnerships. The Program Support Branch (PSB) provides a variety of supportive services to CDPH Programs.
We are located in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex across the street from the beautiful Capitol Park Rose Garden.
Job Description and Duties This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by planning, managing, directing, and coordinating the activities of the Purchasing Services Unit (PSU), the Centralized Contract Services Unit (CCSU), and the Policy, Governance, and Compliance Unit (PGCU). Includes developing processes, policies and systems for department procurements, contracts and compliance requirements.
The incumbent works under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) III of Contracts and Purchasing.
The attached duty statement indicates whether this position is eligible for telework. All employees who telework are required to be California residents in accordance with Government Code 14200, and may be required to report to a CDPH office, when needed. Candidates who reside outside of the state of California may be interviewed; however, the selected candidate must have a primary residency in the state of California prior to appointment (and continue to maintain California residency) as a condition of employment. Failure to meet this requirement may result in the job offer being rescinded.
