Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant at California Skin Institute. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks. The role requires working closely with the medical providers and supporting them in providing high-quality patient care.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, regular business hours.Rate: $21-$27 per hour
ResponsibilitiesAccompany patient to exam/procedure roomPrepare patients for examination and treatmentCheck the schedule and organize patient flowPrepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and suppliesEnsure that all treatment rooms are cleaned and stocked at the end of the workdayAssist providers in preparing the patient and the facilities for minor surgeriesPrepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including equipment sterilizationAssist with scheduling of patient's tests and treatmentsCleaning and spore testing of the autoclave, adhering to scheduled maintenance and maintaining record-Maintenance of biopsy log, biopsy slides, and pathology reportsProcess prescription refills in compliance with established procedures, assuring authorization for prescriptions as needed
QualificationsKnowledge of Medical TerminologyExperience in Medical Office operationsProficiency in managing Medical RecordsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCertification in Medical Assisting is preferredPrior experience in dermatology or MOHs surgery is a plus
