Job Description And Duties

The hiring manager is requesting completion of a Supplemental Questionnaire along with your online job application. Applicants who do not complete the Supplemental Questionnaire will not be considered.

Our Investment Controls and Operational Risk (ICOR) group is currently seeking an Investment Officer (IO) III/II to be responsible for a broad base of operational, policy, and regulatory issues and drive our CalPERS mission.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

Facilitate the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting of operational risks, and conduct independent reviews of the operational risk processes and controls.Promote industry best practices and standards for operational risk management, make appropriate recommendation to senior staff for improvements or enhancements, and coordinate with other risk functions. Oversee operating events, provide a framework to assess operational risk levels, and consult with staff to enhance controls and reduce operational risk.

Interview Dates: We anticipate interviews to be held one month from the final file date.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
