CalWest's client schools in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles are seeking Middle and High School Science Teachers starting in August 2024.Responsibilities:Provide direct, differentiated instruction for students, focusing on science and engineering practices like: asking questions and defining problems, developing models, analyzing and interpreting data, engaging in argument from evidence, etc.Teach Science and develop curriculum and differentiating instruction for students.Use classroom management systems that are focused on students’ social and emotional needs.Provide a positive environment in which students are able to engage actively in meaningful learning experiences.Communicate and partner effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals on a regular basis.Model professional and ethical standards when working with students, families, and colleaguesQualifications:Bachelor of Arts degree in Science, Education, or related fieldValid teaching credentials preferredThree years or more of classroom teaching experience preferredExperience with and understanding of middle and high school age children and children with learning differencesKnowledge of Next Generation Science StandardsExperience with technology – iPads; computers; SmartBoards
