Clinical Admissions CoordinatorJob DescriptionThe Cambridge Eating Disorder Center is seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual to fill our Clinical Admissions Coordinator position. The Clinical Admissions Coordinator will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including our CEDC Medical Director and the Nutrition Department—as well other clinical and counseling staff—to ensure that new patients have smooth transition into our residential program.The Clinical Admissions Coordinator is a full-time position: Mon - Fri: 9:00am-5:30pmRequired Qualifications:Licensed Clinician (LICSW, Ph.D., Psy.D, LMHC, or license eligible)Excellent attention-to-detailConfident, articulate, and personableComfortable working with patients and families in person and over the phoneAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to multi-task and work as a multi-disciplinary team memberAbility to work independentlyPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a psychiatric settingKnowledge of eating disordersThe Clinical Admissions Coordinator is an integral part of each patient’s transition into our residential program. The position requires compassion, dedication, and a sense of responsibility, as patients are often anxious or ambivalent when taking the next step in their recovery process and any initial disruptions can negatively impact their care.The Clinical Admissions Coordinator will:Complete clinical intake assessments over the phone, in person, and over ZoomAssess incoming referrals (from patients or facilities) for appropriate level of care needsCoordinate with internal and external medical providers to ensure each referrals’ medical stability for residential level of care by ensuring we receive requested labs, EKG, and medical clearance forms prior to scheduling their admission.Obtain insurance authorization for all new admissions prior to the patient going to the unitEnsure billing office is provided with correct insurance information in a timely mannerCoordinate and maintain communication with referring facilities and doctors regarding CEDC servicesEnsure clear and timely completion of documentation required for all admissionsCoordinate with CEDC PHP & IOP programs to step patients up to residential level of care.Greet patients and their families upon arrival to review the program, complete paperwork, and process how they are feeling about admission day.Train existing and onboarding clinical staff on how to complete thorough clinical assessments and the admissions processJob Type: Full-timeExcellent salary and benefits.Please send your CV/Resume and cover letter if interested.Job Type: Full-time
